Livelihood and Resilience is among Kids Paradise’s top priorities. We aim to strengthen the resilience of IDPs and host communities by providing sustainable income generating opportunities in safe areas so that people will not have to rely only on emergency support and will thereby gain the confidence of self sufficiency.

In August of 2016 Kids Paradise ran a month long test project to determine if there was a need, not simply for humanitarian aid, but for Cash for Work programs in the Idlib countryside. We distributed cash to female-headed households providing them the opportunity to buy materials for projects that they could create and then sell. We additionally designed some of these projects for children. The test program was a great success and plans are being made to expand this project for the future.
