Strengthening resilience through humanitarian assistance and support for agricultural activities in North Western Syria

Within the framework of the support program for the wheat crop launched by the KP organization in the Al-Rouj plain region for the current season, with the aim of enhancing the livelihoods of vulnerable farmers to become more self-reliant and more resilient to face current and expected shocks.
The first phase of the support project has completed, as 400 farmers in the nine targeted villages benefited from the support program by strengthening their training capabilities in the field of integrated management of the wheat crop, accompanied by obtaining the first agricultural input support basket, which includes reliable sterilized seeds, concentrated nitrogen fertilizers, and rodenticides for vole pest.
Thus, the beneficiaries were able to re-cultivate their fields with the wheat crop, as the process began under the supervision of technical experts in the organization through daily follow-up and consultations on appropriate farming methods, following the “how-to-Do” approach. Noting that the process will continue until the end of the harvest season and will include the launch of the second support phase through the distribution of the second basket of agricultural inputs, which will include soluble leaf fertilizers, insect, fungal, and herbal control materials.
